Management in conditions of uncertainty:new approaches to the development of managerial culture

Society has entered the era of permanent transformations and changes. Uncertainty is becoming one of the key characteristics of modernity, gen- erating a unique demand for managerial culture. The purpose of the article is to characterize the current demand for the development of managerial culture in the conditions of uncertainty of the external environment in the formations of the VUCA and BANI worlds. The goal set pro- vides justification for the formed skill gaps and the request for competency-based characteristics of managers.. The author substantiates that the management cul- ture is able to provide an adequate re- sponse to "dynamically changing situa- tions" in conditions of uncertainty. The methodological basis is A.V. Tikhonov's approach to scientific cognition within the framework of post-nonclassical ra- tionality. Each stage of social develop- ment forms its own challenges to the managerial culture. The request for filling the skill gaps and managerial competen- cies that are most in demand in the new realities is recorded. As a result, it is nec- essary to work both on skill gaps in the conditions of the VUCA world and on the deterministic BANI world As a result of the changed circumstances of the exter- nal environment, a request for different types of managerial meta-competencies is formed. The core of management cul- ture consists of three groups of skills: cognitive, social and technological.
