Political values of students of Saratov region: the problem of complicity and trust

The purpose of the article is to structure the practice of studying socio-political values, the level and characteristics of youth trust in political institutions and key actors during a difficult socio-economic situation. Based on empirical data of a regional study conducted by the authors of the article during 2021-2022 among university students in Saratov, the problem of the relationship of trust in political institutions with the desire and possibility of influencing socio-political processes is considered.
Certain characteristics of the influence of the socio-political situation on the representatives of the younger generation, the degree of strength of beliefs and readiness of young people for real active political actions are determined.
As a result, the authors draw conclusions that young people have a willingness to fight for their rights in various ways, including going to court (68%) and authorities (48%). The authors also note that young people consider the low level of trust on the part of older generations towards young people to be a problem of our society.
