Transformation of political behavioral and mental attitudes of Russians in the background of the 2022 crisis

The purpose of the study is to analyze the transformations of the po- litical-behavioral and mental attitudes of Russians against the backdrop of the crisis in 2022.
Living in conditions of permanent so- cio-economic crises (the fourth in the last 14 years), Russian society shows high adaptability to such changes. The events of this year had a significant impact on the socio-economic state of society, as a result of which the economic model of the coun- try was revised, a significant number of compatriots left Russia, and the society became polarized in assessing current events and development prospects. Re- search methods: from January to Decem- ber 2022, the authors conducted 10 focus group studies in the Volga Federal District and the Central Federal District, recording the moods and mental attitudes of Rus- sians in a monthly format. Each focus group was formed according to the socio- demographic principle (female and male representatives of different age and pro- fessional groups in a relatively equal pro- portion). As a result, the main changes in the behavioral attitudes of Russians under the influence of crisis phenomena are structured.
