Public activity of the population as a determinant of efficiency of local government in the North Caucasus

The purpose of the
article is to analyze the public activity of the population in the North Caucasus.
Much attention is given to the current and future development of efficiency of the local government in the North Caucasus. An analysis of the activity of republican public chambers, the representation of nonprofit organizations in the republics and the electoral activity is given.
As a result, the author draws conclusions about the factors of development and prospects of local government in the North Caucasus. It is stressed that the aim of the public activity is to consolidate and implement socially oriented projects, as well as issues of developing the potential of local territories.
